O Christmas Tree

I finally got my tree up last night.....it was not easy with a particular brown collie wanting to know what I was doing & what was in every box! This is Kort's first Christmas & our 2nd one here in Lethbridge. It has been my tradition that every dog I have ever owned always gets a picture taken in front of the tree. I think the ones of Tate & Kort by themselves can be better , so I will wait to post them until I get ones I like, however, I love these of the two of them, & Kort even stayed put!!

By the way, I will be putting an x-pen around the tree when I leave for work....I'm not taking any chances, Kort!

Now that Kort has his new trick doing the stairs, he has decided the bottom of the stairs is a great place to hang out & sleep.

Of course he does, I just bought him a new bed yesterday!!

Oh, at 2 am. this morning I heard him crying, I found him at the bottom of the stairs, asking to go outside, so cute!

Success!!

Kort decided the best way to spend his 7 month birthday would be to do the stairs for me...all alone!!!

He thinks he's pretty clever & has been going up & down them for most of the day.....just because he can!

Stairs Continued

Well, we have been making some progress with the stairs. I have not lifted Kort down them since Sunday. He will not come down them by himself though, he still runs away! I have a collar at the top of the stairs & when it is time, I put it on him & slowly walk him down. He will come with me when I do this, although he still wants to jump when he nears the bottom, but holding the collar stops him. This morning I wanted to give him a chance to do it alone.... so I perched at the bottom of the stairs with treats, & called & made excited sounds, which got Tate's attention, but alas Kort still needs work! That's ok, I'm patient!
