Peanuts!

Last night Wendy, Amanda & I ventured out to see the bull riders.....we had a blast! There were 35 competitors in all & they were awesome! Some of the bulls had some pretty weird names.....Cavity Search LOL!!....Meatball, Uni-bomber, & Blizzard Lips to name a few!
There was a cowboy on his horse to help rope in the bulls should they decide not to go back to their stalls....he needed a few more roping lessons!!
Do you remember how Charlie Brown's teacher would talk?? Wa WaWa Wa Wa?? Well that's how the bull riders sounded when they got to the microphone, we couldn't understand a thing they were saying which lead to a lot of laughter on our parts, & a lot of misunderstanding of words on my part.....such as, there were the Bucking Chutes....I had to ask Wendy what the heck he was saying as I kept hearing *ucking Chutes!!
It really was a good time, a lot of whooping & yelling & yee hawing!! & that was just from us 3 !!!
I thought the bulls were gorgeous, & I was so happy to know that they had little girls that took care of them at home, tied ribbons in their hair & sprinkled them with Pixie Dust to make them pretty......& I don't want anyone out there to tell me otherwise!
Anyone who wants to join us next year is most welcome!

When Pigs Fly

Amanda e-mailed me to suggest this book ....after I laughed my butt off as it describes Kort to a T.....I asked her to order it for me!......hope it helps!

When Pigs Fly
Subtitle: Training Success with Impossible Dogs
Are you having trouble getting your dog to do even the most basic things, like sit, come when called, or walk next to you without pulling like a sled dog? Does he seem to ask "Why?" whenever you try to get him to do something? Have you been to an agility or obedience class and been humiliated by how inattentive and wild your dog was? Does your dog have a mind of his own and it seems like you have no way to get him to pay attention to you? Even dogs that sometimes seem impossible to deal with can be brilliantly trainable. It's time to start working with your dog's nature, not against it. Rather than worrying about training a particular behavior, focus on shaping your dog's mindset. Once you have him in the correct frame of mind, you can teach him anything in short order. Figure out what your dog finds rewarding and then use those rewards to get the behavior you want. You'll be amazed at what your "impossible" dog will do when you know how he thinks and what turns him on! You and your dog can be a successful team and live in harmony together. As improbable as this may seem to you now, this book is where the impossible becomes possible—Pigs can fly!

Boys Will Be Boys !

It all started the day we picked Kort up at the breeders.....Kort took one look at his big brother Tate & knew he wanted to be just like him when he grew up.Above is Kort watching & learning the art of leg lifting & proper aim....he has studied a long time, perfecting his craft. Many times over the months he has fallen victim to being peed upon....Tate would lure him in by pretending to sniff at a wonderful smell, Kort would dash in , hoping to find out what the smell was, only to be peed on by Tate. Poor Kort....

However this morning Kort's patience paid off, he found a smell!!, sniffed it eagerly, Tate couldn't resist & ran over to smell it too...and then it happened...in a flash Kort lifted his leg, & peed on Tate's head.....oh the horror of it all!! Poor Tate standing there dumbfounded as the pee rolled down his head & muzzle, total disgust & humiliation in his eyes.....

Off Kort walked his head held a little higher, today I became a man!
