TEMPERAMENT TESTING

Below, is what happened just moments before the above picture was taken! Now how's that for a temperament test!!!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY !!

Happy Mother's Day Mom!! & to all you mom's out there. This is the first Mother's Day I haven't been with my mom, so I decided to pull out some old photos of mom with some of our dogs! I couldn't find one picture of my mom & Tate....I'm not sure why??, but I will make sure to get one when my mom comes here to visit...& I hope that will be soon!

Picture #1 is of Chance, the dog my mom has now, he is 13 yrs old & she adopted him from our Thunder Bay shelter, he was 7 & a half, & was left there as his mom was having baby #2 & didn't think she could handle 2 kids & Chance...whatever lady, he's in a good home now!!

Picture #2 is of mom & Drake, Drake was 8 yrs old in this photo & mom & I were on our way home from Duluth where I finished up Drake's Am. CD.

Picture #3 is from 1988, it was actually Ben's 13 th birthday! & Buddy was 9 yrs.

SATURDAY DRIVE

Brad & I took a drive today just to explore the surrounding areas around Lethbridge, we got a late start so we didn't go as far as we would have liked. These pictures above are taken in Beauvais Lake Provincial Park, the bottom 2 are of the Rockies, taken just along the highway past Pincher Creek. I have never seen the rockies close up before so I really enjoyed taking pictures. They are just breathtaking!

SO IT BEGINS !

Well everybody, I have found a kennel & they have approved me as a home for a puppy!! The puppies are just a couple of days old so it will be a couple of months, but my head is already working overtime figuring out things. For instance, poor Tate, who you all know gets to travel in luxury, in his own Great Dane kennel, will have to downsize now to a regular kennel. That is the only way to fit 2 kennels in my van.....poor Tate, he will not be pleased!! Of course I will have to buy a second "castle" for the new puppy for dog shows, those of you who go to class with me have seen Tate's "castle"!! .....and, no, I can't just use Tate's, as Tate will be coming too, & will have to have his own!

Tate is pictured above last year while we waited for our track to age, doesn't he look comfortable? Ah, the good old days Tate, enjoy them while you can!!

IT'S BEEN A VERY LONG WEEKEND

Hi, it's been awhile since I posted. I sat around all weekend waiting to hear if the litter I was waiting for had been born......unfortunately there are no puppies. Disappointed doesn't really describe what I am feeling right now..... I have e-mailed another kennel & I hope they have a puppy available for me, Tate & I are both ready for a new addition & I think we would be such a good home! So everyone keep your paws crossed for us ok !
