To Change or Not

It is no secret that I may be adding a new puppy to my household this year.  If Mother Nature cooperates my puppy will be born in March.  I am so excited, a few of my friends may also be getting new puppies this year so it will be so awesome to be able to socialize our guys together.

This got me thinking, when I started this blog it was called One Collie, because I had one collie, clever I know , then Kort came along, so I added the Two Actually.  So here's my dilemma, if I get my puppy, he will be a Flatcoated Retriever, so do I totally change the name of my blog???

One suggestion I had was Herding & Birding, I like it :)  So what does everyone think?
If I do end up changing it, I'm going to make it into a contest, so start thinking , I will have a prize for the person who comes up with a name I like.

Don't give me your suggestions for a name yet, wait until I decide if I'm going to change it, I will let everyone know, but do let me know if you think I actually need to change the name.

i think that the "one collie" is part of your online identity and you shouldn't change it.

and if you did I really dislike Herding and Birding....

lol

I'll think of some good ones in time for your contest though.

I like the purple by the way!

lol! I knew you would dislike herding & birding :)
umm, the colour is red, not purple lol!

Might manymuddypaws have to re-calibrate the colors on her computer??? I love One Collie and however it goes from there. I say don't change it, but if you have to add something....it is you and part of your identity.

Diana, I really like One Collie as well, another friend has given me a suggestion I really like so I'm considering it as well,
I think Amanda is colour blind hee hee !

Herding and Birding - 2 things you don't really care for!!!!!! I would stick to a name with things you like - long noses, luxurious coats, wagging tails and kisses!!!

I'd keep the name. Life is going to change over the years and constantly moving or changing your blog because of it, will just get frustrating.

Either that or pick a more generic name that will make sense no matter what your future holds. Amanda was the cleverest of all of us I think in naming her blog. Although I agree, she is colour blind. ;)

How about "Little to No Stop" :-)

Or "One Collie, Another Collie and a Retriever"?

But I think keeping it the same is a fine idea too.....

I too think you should keep the "One Collie". You can add a sub text like you've already done. I think you will always have one collie in your life, no matter what other additions you make.

Maybe Amanda was talking about the text color--it's purple! :)

okay, maybe not purple, but certainly burgandy! which is kinda purple.

And BECAUSE this keeps the theme you have started....and why we love your blog and keep coming back!! LIke McDonalds (do you have those in Iglooland???). They have done very little with their logo/name since the beginning. It's a strong identifier and people get upset when a logo or product design is redesigned because it upsets their little brains. I got upset because my Folgers Instant Coffee decided to come up with a new container! THAT REALLY thru me for a loop. To me, it has been the container that my dad bought and used. I felt close to my dad every morning I had my coffee and this made me sad.....and while change is imminent it has to be considered seriously in companies/businesses blah blah blah. Basically, people want to feel warm, fuzzy and SAFE, even if it's wrong!! And for me personally I want to feel safe with Tate AND his connection to Zoe doggie......did I type enough????
