Short and Sweet Part 2

On Wednesday Nov 20 my van slid on some black ice and I slammed into a cement barrier, I broke my sternum & a rib, and was in the hospital for 2 days

AND

I couldn't get my puppy because of it :(

Well short, but not sweet at all!! Thank God it wasn't worse. I figured you had to have slammed into something for the sternum fracture to occur. You hit the steering wheel? Then the bag inflated? Puppy Lync is safe and waiting for you--he'll be yours soon. Concentrate on positive healing thoughts to help your body speed up the process. Gentle ((HUGS)).

hi Dianne, hit a guard rail, then a cement column which caused the air bags to deploy, I didn't even know it had ! guess it blacked me out for a minute,
Diana wants me to imagine white light emminating from my body, will do ! :)

Short and not so sweet! I couldn't WAIT for you to get your puppy but I am just so glad you weren't hurt worse. Your van doesn't look as bad as I envisioned but I know that probably doesn't mean much especially if you have to spend the big bucks on it AND your puppy isn't home yet. Wwwwwaaaaaa!!!!!!!!

Yikes!! Guard rail and concrete pillar!! Poor van, poor you! Smiley faced licence plate seems so ironic!! The air bag deploying often seems to knock people out cold. My neighbor's daughter was in an accident on the QE2 a couple of years ago, and she was unconscious for awhile. They took her to Olds Hospital and she had to spend the night there.
I suspect the main reason the van is a write off is because the alignment is probably too damaged, and if it's a front wheel drive, that's even more of a concern. Sucks big time!
