My Ben, the start of it all!

You know, when so many years go by you start to forget certain things. It has been 33 years since my mom bought me my first collie Ben, & it will be 20 years this year, on Sept 28, that he died. Funny how I remember that date.....

I had forgotten how beautiful he was, I didn't really appreciate it at the time as I was so young, but looking back at pictures of him now I realize he was really gorgeous. Ben was also very smart, he learned everything after being shown just once.....gosh I loved that dog, something else I had forgotten until I started looking at old pictures of him.....

These 2 pictures were taken at training classes in 1976!! Ben was 11 months old & I was sweet 16!

This picture was at a Sanction Match in Apr. of 78....Ben was 3....

Ben's favourite thing was the retrieve on flat (obedience lingo!!)......here is 2 pictures of us practicing outside in the winter of 78....I practised everyday with Ben , even in the winter, ah, to be young again!
