Day 5

Today is 5 days after my accidient.  Brad has returned to work and I am alone in the house.  I had a rough time sleeping last night, lots of pain, I can't move to adjust myself & need to sleep almost upright as laying down flat puts too much pressure on my sternum. My back is killing me because of the awkwardness of how I sleep & sit.
I am worried about taking so many pain killers but if  I still feel pain when taking them I can't imagine the pain I would feel without them.  The pain killers make me nauseated sometimes though so I am taking ginger gravol for that.  I am really nauseated today & the gravol doesn't seem to be helping :(

Today Liz is coming to walk the dogs, they will enjoy that.  Kort is having a hard time though, he doesn't want to leave the house to walk with Brad even.  He is a funny dog, he gets quite worried if it is not me that is with him, I feel bad for him but I make him go as he needs to get out of the house.

Also today Judy is bring my puppy by for a visit !!! He is staying with her for a bit of socializing.  Judy owns Lync's mom Kona, & 2 other Flatcoats, so I am pretty sure he is having a blast with her!

I am excited to see what he thinks of Tate & Kort & what they think of him!! Amanda is coming by at the same time so she can keep things in order for me, I am not able to control any chaos should it happen right now.  I am sure there will be pictures so I will post those tomorrow.

That is it for now, I have a Dr appt tomorrow.  I need to ask about being off of work and all that fun stuff, as well as looking into the best way to get some kind of benefits for the time I have to be off.

I just caught up with all the chaos in your life. I am so sorry about the accident. I know how quickly something like that can change your life. Recover in peace with your beautiful dogs and that gorgeous puppy. It can all still work out for your and yours.

I love the photos you posted on FB. Love, love, love Lync and of course the collies. What a drag to be so restricted. I thought I was going to scream not being able to get around when I was on crutches and that's when the rattler showed up in the yard. I was pathetic trying to shot the shit out of it with a regular bullet and not snake shot. Somehow you need to make the best of it which I know you are, like reading.....your pain will subside soon.

You are in our thoughts and prayers. As for staying by year, that sounds strangely familiar.

Just got caught up reading on my blogs. So very sorry to read about your accident, but as you pointed out its great you're around to feel the pain from it!! Sounds like you are surrounded by great people that can help out! I bet it helped to see Lync with his new "brothers". he is absolutely adorable. You're in my thoughts and prayers!!

I hope the pain management can be worked out so you are comfortable--it sucks to be in pain all the time and have such limited mobility too. But things will improve, slowly but surely. You are fortunate to have so many people who have rallied around to help out. Puppy Lync is adorable and I like that Kort gave him a lesson in manners. Like I said on FB, I could borrow Kort!! Duffy is too sweet a guy to really give Lanny what for and Lanny is such a big galoot!! Anyway, take it easy! xoxo

Dianne I love Kort soooo much, he was really excited to have the puppy here, but you could see he was worried when he told Lync off for biting him :(
I told Kort he was a good boy & it was ok. Amanda was the one that noticed Lync grabbed his hair, she told me to always give "Kort" the benefit of the doubt first, even if I don't see, as he would never hurt a puppy for no reason, good advice!
