The Perfect Weekend!

This weekend was just perfect in everyway!! First & most important, Tate qualifyed on Sat. to finish his CKC Rally Excellent Title!!!! No thanks to me! I was sooo nervous that I cost him 20 points! first off on the back command, I thought he only did 2 steps back, instead of 3, so I asked for a redo...when I got my score sheet I lost 10 points for doing it again!! If I had just carried on the first time we would have only lost 3 points! Then I did a schutzund about turn & it was just an "regular" left about turn....another 10 points due to handler error!!! But I don't care....we are done!!!! yahoo!! The judge kept laughing at me...he even said, "you're just a mess!!" He was right, I wanted to finish Tate so bad, he really dislikes everything but agility....he was not happy in the ring at all.

Tate was not the only dog to make me proud...little Kort did amazing at the dog show! He was super in his kennel & was very quiet for the most part...a couple of times I even snuck away to shop & he was great. I had alot of help from Donna though, she has recently moved to Red Deer & she came with her 8 mo. old Shepherd Caden , she would watch Kort when I was in the ring & hold Tate when I walked the course, then run him over to me as I was first in the ring!

We had a super time catching up!! Kort was even good in the hotel, just a few little barks, thats it!

My hotel was even perfect...it was the Motel 6 & it was among a shopping plaza, there were restaurants right across the street, everything was right there. The hotel was surrounded by greenspace to walk the dogs too! The best part was the show site was like 2 minutes away! I will definately go back to this show every year.
